Almita Piling is seeking an Engineer with experience in helical pile design to join our growing team. Whether you're a P.Eng or an EIT working toward your designation, this is a fantastic opportunity to work on technically complex projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
About the Role:
As part of our engineering team, you’ll support all aspects of helical pile design, analysis, and testing. You'll play a hands-on role in project execution and cross-functional support to our PS&D and project teams.
What You'll Do:
- Execute helical screw pile designs to meet technical and schedule requirements
- Prepare calculations and drawings
- Interpret geotechnical reports and apply findings to pile design
- Conduct site visits, testing, and field inspections as required
- Analyze data from pile load testing and prepare technical reports
- Use tools such as LPile, Group, S-Frame, and other CAD/engineering software
- Collaborate with internal teams to support project execution
- Pursue and maintain engineering licensure (if applicable)
What We're Looking For:
- Degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering
- EIT or P.Eng designation in Alberta and/or Ontario
- 2–4 years of experience in geotechnical or structural engineering
- Experience in the piling industry is an asset
- Strong skills in engineering analysis, CAD software, and MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical thinking, report writing, and time management
- Team-oriented with a high attention to detail
Additional Details:
- Primarily remote, with occasional visits to our Ponoka facility
- 40-hour work week; schedule may vary
- Must adhere to all PPE and safety protocols
